Home Harmony does not collect, store, or share any personal information. Specifically:
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any identifying information
- We do not store your uploaded images on our servers
- We do not track your browsing behavior or usage patterns
- We do not use cookies for tracking or analytics purposes
- We do not share any data with third parties for marketing or advertising
How Your Data is Handled
Local Storage
All information you provide, including your workspace preferences and uploaded images, is stored locally on your device using your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device except when temporarily sent to OpenAI for analysis (see below).
Image Analysis
When you upload an image of your workspace, it is sent directly to OpenAI's API for analysis. This allows our AI to provide personalized styling suggestions based on your space, lighting, and preferences. OpenAI processes the image according to their privacy policy and data usage terms. Images are not permanently stored by OpenAI or Home Harmony.
OpenAI API Usage
We use OpenAI's Vision API to analyze your workspace images and generate design recommendations. The images are transmitted securely over HTTPS and are subject to OpenAI's data processing practices. For more information about how OpenAI handles data, please review OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
Your Control
You have complete control over your data:
- You can clear all locally stored data at any time by clearing your browser's local storage
- You can delete uploaded images from your device at any time
- No account or sign-up is required, so there's no profile to delete
- You can stop using the service at any time without any data retention concerns
Security
We take security seriously. All communications between your browser and our service, as well as between our service and OpenAI, are encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS protocols. Since we don't store your data on our servers, there's no centralized database that could be compromised.
